POLYDANCE / DEVELOPER KIT 0.4.1
Desktop developer preview
Local desktop and immersive XR experiment preview — not certification or a hosted participant test. No capture, consent flow, microphone, recording, account or external provider.
Start preview to create the scene and enable sound.
Hands · explicit opt-in only
Hand input inactive · source:none · unavailable · no hands
Synthetic controls generate joint geometry, not device evidence. They cannot certify Quest 3 or Apple Vision Pro. Real XR requires HTTPS (or localhost), immersive-vr and required hand-tracking permission. This is not the host consent/capture flow. In immersive mode use the scene-space panel or system exit. No DOM overlay is required. Persistent pose-only hands and transient select pointers stay separate; no synthetic fallback in XR.
Desktop synthetic controls (OFF by default)
Help
The experiment can put its longer instructions here.
Mouse: point to hover, click to select, hold and move to drag. XR: native target-ray select, hover and drag. If native select has no target-ray space, only that select can use head gaze; no inferred pinch, hand rays, hover or drag. Missing tracking fails closed. The panel sits to the right of your initial view and follows large movements. Stop / Exit is also available through the headset system menu.
Help and Pause stop experiment updates, hand input and audio. Back / Resume uses fresh tracking and excludes paused time. Mute gates the experiment output bus; the context is suspended where supported. Connect sound to ctx.audioOutput. Start and browser Reset create fresh audio from your gesture. XR Reset ends the session; explicitly Enter XR preview again. The hand diagnostic is always silent.
All manifest-declared immersive-vr experiments can use real required hand tracking. Unsupported or denied permission never falls back to simulated XR hands. Synthetic hands remain a desktop-only fixture. The headset panel shows captions/status and paginated detail (up to 4000 characters), Help/Back, pages, Pause/Resume, Mute and Stop / Exit.
This is a testing kit, not host publication or certification. No recorder, consent, narration, authentication or participant feedback. Guidance audio is text-only: assets are not fetched or played; no TTS or service is used. Experiment synthesis through ctx.audio is supported. Phase is diagnostic only. Physical Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro validation: NOT TESTED.
